Wow. Who ever thought bad guys were so, well, you know, bad.
There was a car accident on Chicago’s near south side years ago; a pregnant woman driving to the hospital in labor is struck by a hit a run driver. While she lay dying in her overturned car, she was robbed of purse, money, phone and jewelry.
Recently the local paper ran a headline about a “Drug Deal Gone Bad,” where the buyer was shot to death. What exactly is a drug deal gone good? The sale is completed and the user slowly destroys his life and the lives of those around him and then dies and the supplier services more customers? So many of these people are simply bad if not evil.
You always hear about "robberies gone bad". Actually, the robbery was going just fine --up to the point it became a murder.
Where I grew up, my next-door neighbor Robert was always doing bad things. He would try to force me into shoplifting, stuffing stuff in my pocket at the stores. Which I would empty out and tell him no. I decided to stay away from him. He gravitated to car theft, burglary, etc. and ended up in juvenile lockup. After high school, he was doing a drug deal from his car half a block up from our homes. He got his throat cut ear to ear. He was bad, but the other guy was "badder".
