Mice can easily squeeze thru ¼" slits in doors, sideboarding, vents, garage doors, insulation sheets, windows, ducts, plumbing and waste tunnels... they're amazingly adept, with a slightly soft skull which compresses to fit minute spaces. I did 2 existing buildings on the Farm, and when the others were built, they were 'critter proofed' to the nth degree. My cats took care of the few who got thru, and a few actually did.

Never leave your garage door open for any extended time in the fall. They'll hide in the garage, and wait by the house door for you to open it and scurry in undetected.

I am just stumped, because I have NEVER seen any tell tale signs of mice (NO mouse droppings anywhere).. Oh well...I will get em (or the cats will ;-)
