WASHINGTON—President Barack Obama plans to dramatically boost the U.S. effort to mitigate the Ebola outbreak in West Africa, including greater involvement of the U.S. military, people familiar with the proposal said. Mr. Obama is expected to detail the plan during a visit Tuesday to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, these people said. Among the possible moves: sending additional portable hospitals, doctors and health-care experts, providing medical supplies and conducting training for health workers in Liberia and other countries. Mr. Obama also is expected to urge Congress to approve the request he made last week for an additional $88 million to fund his proposal.

If he had any balls, he’d be circling the wagons right now.

He’s got four months before this becomes something they will write about in history books.

In January, based on official numbers, there will be 100,000 open cases. It’s doubling every month.

The report said they’ll be dealing with this for 12 to 18 months.

That’s hilarious, because if that is true, given the interventions and cases/death ratio currently, in 18 months, the open case rate will be in the tens of millions, if not 100’s of millions - conservatively.

This is assuming:

1. No vaccine.
2. No serum.
3. The idiot keeps our borders open to all comers.

If there are 6000 open cases by Oct 1, then it confirms what I’m saying here. The cases are roughly doubling every 30 days - conservatively. The data shows a doubling rate of 25 to 28 days, actually. WHO keeps revising its numbers, even after posting them.

Nonetheless, go back to May, look at the trend, and the trend is doubling cases every month.

When we consider Obama's political and religious orientation and the nature of his attempts to radically transform America then we must consider that it is possible that his Offensive will be the importation of Ebola via infected medical staff and soldiers that are sent to Africa on the certainty that some will contract the disease. When a certain few die and are heavily publicized then a widespread demand will be ginned up to bring our boys and girls home. They will be brought home and some will be infected unawares. Others showing symptoms will be whisked off to secure facilities for treatment but some will be sent out into the population.
It is possible, considering recent history.

Regarding Obama's past record, if he says he wants to work on something we need to determine beforehand that he will end up doing the opposite of what he claims.

So, what Barry wants is even more people getting Ebola.

And, he needs to have 88 million in order to do accomplish his goal.

Yeah, but 88 million is a drop in the bucket compared to what we would be spending if the epidemic gets a foot hold in the U.S.

Once the epidemic hits an area, commerce pretty much shuts down. That means no tax revenue, and a lot more people seeking government assistance.

This is a good move on the part of Obama. It’s late. The WHO has been criminally negligent in responding to this crisis.
