I would rather they had IQ tests before one could register to vote. 100+ or no vote. We can’t afford to have the below average determining the nation’s future.
We are on the same page about IQ tests, and it should certainly require basic literacy to be able to vote. I would take it much further. I was a secretary. Happened to work in the Fed Gov’t, State, and County offices during my working life. ALL required you sit a general intelligence test, and skills test prior to employment. I’d like to see all government officials be required to do the same, it would certainly improve our Congress, and Presidency to remove the dimwits!
I would settle for people simply having to show ID that they are actually entitled to vote.
