S. Korea spots signs of N. Korea's submarine rocket development
SEOUL, Sept. 14 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's military confirmed Sunday it has detected signs of North Korea's development of a submarine-based ballistic missile launch system.
In a report to an opposition lawmaker, the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said there is an indication that the North is developing a submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM).
"There is no intelligence yet that North Korea has an SLBM in operation. But the possibility of a North Korean submarine equipped with an SLBM has been detected recently," the JCS said in the document submitted to Rep. Jin Sung-joon of the main opposition New Politics Alliance for Democracy.
South Korea and the U.S. are jointly scrutinizing the North's related move, added the JCS.
A senior South Korean government source also said the South Korean and U.S. intelligence agencies spotted signs that the North has developed a ballistic missile launch tube.

Did that dip stick POS close the hatch before they submerged?
If China continues to refuse to put a leash on their proxy (NK), then the west must put them down once and for all, IMO.
China seems to be relishing any opportunity to start WW3. If that is the case, it’s time to do it now and not wait until they are strong enough to survive the conflict, IMO.
Both countries have the technical expertise and the tactical need if push comes to shove, while having plausible deniability.
My, what a rust bucket. I’m surprised how bare the rails are. Not even primer on it/them. That rust on the hatch looks like it has been there a while. Have to wonder how deep it is?
Yes, it’s time for several unexplained accidents to happen to the NORK’s naval and nuclear missile forces.
So, these rocket launching subs move into our port cities, undetected and deliver a simultaneous nuclear strike. Or worse, launch a EMP weapon to take out the US’s semi-conductor circuitry and power grid.
Or worse, sell their subs armed with rockets with nuclear warheads to Islamic terrorists. Europe, take warning.
How would you like to serve on that death trap.....?
He gets fatter and fatter. One wonders when he will explode!!! LOL
It might toll on his knees. He is seen limping in recent pictures.
That sub is incapable of diving. Too much ballast.

Sounds like a job for SEAL Team 6.
Oh... Wait... Obama is _resident. Forget it. He authorized the deaths of ST6 personnel in an ambush after “he” killed Bin Lauden.
The conventional wisdom (pardon the pun) is that North Korea does not yet have a warhead small enough to fit on a ballistic missile. They would need another jump in miniaturization to get one small enough to fit onto a smaller diameter SLBM.
The danger here is that the US is using it’s own history as a basis for creating a timeline for how long all this will take to come to fruition. Copycats never take as long as those who originate a given technology.
