In a close referendum, 300 years laid to waste by a popular cartoon character.
There's a sad epitaph for you...

Thousands of supporters of both sides in the Scottish referendum debate have taken to the streets on the final weekend before the vote.
The pro-independence Yes Scotland campaign claimed Saturday would be the "biggest day of national campaigning" Scotland has ever seen.
The Better Together campaign claimed there would be "a thousand events all across Scotland today".
Supporters of both sides argued that the momentum was with them.

This may be as close to a break away as Scotland has ever gotten. In the event the ‘No’ votes rule, and there is no breakaway, I suspect with feelings this strong, the question will keep popping up again and again, until they do become separate, or until Scotland receives certain concessions ($) in order to remain a part of the Empire.

Media tycoon Rupert Murdoch is in Scotland as rumours swirl that his Scottish Sun newspaper is set to come out in favour of independence.

They get upset and say Americans are unaware of issues overseas, and then they get upset when Americans are apparently aware of an issue over there. Sounds like they just want to be upset for the bloody hell of it.
