Upstate needs to break away from the city. The two are terminally at odds in every respect. Form a new state, secede, whatever. It’s not working and is killing a beautiful part of the country.
My Dad and his buddies used to say that in the early 60s when we lived in Ithaca.
It is the same in Illinois. Illinois would be a great state if Chicago were excised.
California has the same problem.
It’s dominated by the Freaks in a few big cities.
Most of the State is actually fairly Conservative, some parts very conservative.
I've never been to N.Y.C and have no desire to ever go there but I have been upstate in N.Y. and it is indeed "a beautiful part of the country".
N.Y. is like many other states, afflicted with a large city, filled with the very worst sort of people (liberals) and they (liberals) make life miserable for everyone in the state.
I know, I live in Not Chicago, Illinois.
“Upstate needs to break away from the city. The two are terminally at odds in every respect. Form a new state, secede, whatever. Its not working and is killing a beautiful part of the country.”
This is the same with most cities around the country. There really isn’t any way the voting process can represent the people of ‘Upstate’, or rural Illinois, or any other flyover area where you have a massive libtard city calling the shots. This massive strongholds of liberalism are completely dependent upon the agriculture and manufacturing of the rural areas they so arrogantly thumb their noses at. Cut off their supply of the fruits of rural hard work and see how quickly they find those dumb Christian conservative, flag waving, country folks really might be worth listening to.
Same thing here in PA with filthadelphia, western MD and b’more.
Last winter we went to Niagara Falls.
Great time to go as few touristas then.
Talked extensively with a tour guide at Fort Niagara who told me the whole Buffalo area was at one time the industrial center of America.
Lost it all due to Unions.
