Football is politics?

That's a laugh. It's ENTERTAINMENT.

Politics LOOKS and SOUNDS like entertainment but it is our way of life and the structure of our government from the grass roots to the Congress to the Executive.

Oh, I forgot, football is the breath of life for BOOKIES.

I have learned awhile ago to simply not watch any pre-game. ESPN is history as well, unless there is a game on., And some cases, muting the tv and listing in radio anyway.

In fact, I’ve dumped most tv these days. And for that, I’ve found my life much more productive and satisfying.

Oh, I forgot, football is the breath of life for BOOKIES.

And the talking heads go on & on about fantasy football!

I just don't get it. First they take a game...recreation, and turn it into Big Business, with a minor in Statistical Analysis.

Now everyone seems obsessed with FANTASIZING about a GAME?

Okay, let’s say instead that the sports-news guys have jumped the shark and become political-news guys instead. I gently suggest most sports-news consumers, most of the time, would rather set themselves on fire than have to watch or listen to that.
