He was not a good man.
Of course he wasn’t a good man, there are no good men (see Romans 3). Dr. Paisley was a vile sinner in need of the saving gospel he spent his life preaching and he would have been the first to tell you that. Despite his failings, he was a towering man of God with a steel spine who was utterly committed to the Word of God. He was a man with great moral clarity. He boldly sounded the alarm about both Islam and Romanism and he did so without compromise or apology. If only more had ears to hear his message.
Someone linked the sermon below in another thread. I have heard it before, but I just finished listening to it again. What a great sermon! I can’t recommend it enough.
