I remember a couple of years ago some so called reputable news organzations were talking about the national enquirer story about Todd hooking up with a prostitute and there being a police report about it....This story got so serious coverage that the Anchorage police released a statement that the story wasn’t true and that Todd Palin wasn’t involved in any way. We had a lot of FReepers believing the story which is going on right now with this story which is sad, because Sarah gets already enough hits from the left and she constantly has to get it from some of the so called right

A smart conservative does not believe a single thing they read in the media until it is corroborated. Sometimes things turn out o be true, but much more often the real story is not what was first reported. The truly ignorant will actually comment accordingly because they aren't satisfied with being dumb quietly.
