The Catholic League said Thursday that it will sit out next years St. Patricks Day Parade in New York because event organizers arent letting an anti-abortion group march.
The group, formally known as the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, has been marching for 20 years, said its president, Bill Donohue.

Doesn’t Boston, like many major cities, have a Gay Pride parade? Maybe the Catholic League should demand to be in that parade.
They should sue for discrimination, that is what the sodomites would do.
The official website says that St. Patrick’s Day Parade Inc. is a separate corporation run by members of the AOH.
Ping!
“Let me get this straight...”
Please do.
Will they be letting the Orange Order march with them?
No problem. Cardinal Dolan, was open to having the homosexual rights groups march.
I’m suuuuuure he’ll fight for the Pro Life group to march.
First one to notice. You get the prize.

I agree. I saw Donohue on Raymond Arroyo's "The World Over" show on EWTN last night (09-11-14), and he was making it sound like it would be ok for a group promoting the perverted sin of homosexuality to openly promote it in the St. Patrick's Day Parade, just as long as they also allow a pro-life group to promote their pro-life cause in the St. Patrick's Day Parade.
That assertion is not true. It doesn't matter if they allow 5,000 pro-life groups to march and promote their good cause, they should never allow any single group teaching something that goes against the beliefs of St. Patrick to openly promote their cause in the St. Patrick's Day Parade. That includes homosexuals, atheists, Muslims, Satanists, witches, zoophiles, and any other group that teaches something against the beliefs of St. Patrick.
It would be like saying its okay to inject a very small amount of fluids infected with the Ebola virus into your body, just as long as you have some good, uninfected fluids in your body as well. The truth is, you don't want any of that bad stuff in your system.
would they let the KKK to an MLK march? same damn principle!
It’s time to leave the parade where the surrounding festivities have been for a long time: With the amateurs.
Do you have a link?I can’t find it.Thanks.
In 1992 the National AOH directed all AOH organizations to form separate corporations to run events such as the Parade. The Parade is run today by members of the AOH under a separate corporation, St. Patricks Day Parade Inc.Dont know if that is when the secular influences started chipping away at the parade, but it has certainly come to a pass these days no matter the cause.
Somehow the “big tent” no longer includes those who oppose killing babies
I see it-thanks.I’m going to call them tomorrow.I so missed it and I was on that site.
OK Here is what I found out through research.
Gays did once march in the New York Parade. They did not carry a banner. They were booed and had beer spilled on them so it was stopped. Also Philly and Chicago let Gays march but I have never seen them. The AOH are not in charge anymore because of lawsuits. The name of the group in charge is http://www.nycstpatricksparade.org/home.html
The President is John Dunleavy who is a member of AOH.
