Terry O'Neill, the president of the National Organization for Women, has called for NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to resign, citing Ray Rice's assault on his now-wife as just one of many examples of the league's failure to act against domestic violence.

The NFL has lost its way. It doesn't have a Ray Rice problem; it has a violence against women problem," O'Neill said in a statement. "... The only workable solution is for Roger Goodell to resign and for his successor to appoint an independent investigator with full authority to gather factual data about domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault and stalking within the NFL community and to recommend real and lasting reforms."

In the release, NOW listed Rice, San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Ray McDonald, Carolina Panthers defensive lineman Greg Hardy and Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones as examples of cases the league has failed to act on.

“But I don’t know how this will affect business, if it will.”

The NFL is so popular, yeah it’s hard to say if this will. Supposedly 40% of the fans are women, so maybe if some of those aren’t diehard maybe they won’t watch. But there are so many industries around football, fantasy leagues, gambling, all of sports media. Looking at the state of the general culture, it isn’t surprising that NFL is the most popular pro US sport. The worst things about the modern era product are the ones that are seemingly most loved by most NFL fans, in my opinion.

RE :’OK, you are correct, I apologize.’

There was a time long ago (years) when I would post stuff here that I heard someplace and got called out on it and found out that I had no real evidence that it was true, but I learned to do my research . Even when I am proved wrong I usually thank the one who sets me straight, as long as they post proof.

On the Rush stuff I have had ~ 20 freepers replying to me over the past 1+ years who were sure that Rush would have never said those things.

The reason is simple, Rush talks now like he never liked Romney and that it was obvious that he would lose(says stuff like ’ The GOPe keeps picking these losers, BLA-BLA-BLA ’), when he was saying the opposite in 2012.

So if you just listen to him today and don't remember 2 years ago you would think what you thought, as many others do.

This has been going on for years, its not isolated.
