Is it expected to drive up the cost of beer? If it won’t, then this is not - as Joe Biden would say - not “a big f****n’ deal.”

It's not due to anyone's SUV nor my 550 HP Cobra GT 500. or my lawn mower, chain saw, weed eater, BBQ grill, fireplace, Air Conditioner, Furnace, Incandescent Light bulbs, aerosol spray cans, pool chemicals, lack of mass transit, dark roof shingles, mahogany furniture, beef steaks, milk shakes or french fries........................

I'll bet a ham radio operator has a pretty good handle on grounding the house system, since poor grounds = lots of noise.
And house grounds don't do a darn thing about ungrounded co-ax or ladder wire coming into the house.

Thanks for that clarification. Since the earth does ROTATE, the TIME of arrival of the most disruptive intensity of the storm, UH! might matter to what part of the earth is presented to it, UH!
Last I noticed, all of the earth does NOT face the sun at the same time.

I've been doing this for over 40 years. I probably have a clue.

It would seem a simple matter of mathematics to determine which side of the earth is facing the Sun at the time of arrival of the particles, since both the earth’s rotation and the speed of the particles is fairly constant. Even considering the Moon is now past the full, that might be taken into consideration with respect to where it is and the earth/sun positions.................

LOL, and you most likely know that there isn’t a dang thing you can do for a direct lightning strike. Even the companies that make lightning protection systems can’t guarantee that!............

Saw a local weather ditz trying to make the argument that we should all let our lawns go to seed because running your gas lawnmower for half an hour puts more carbon in the atmosphere than driving your car 100 miles.

LOL! I just mail ordered one to cover my entire house. Hopefully it gets here first thing this morning. Of course the power company will not be happy since they won’t be receiving signals from my “smart” meter. :>}
