The statement explained the students are in a War and Peace unit in which they consider “when conflict is warranted.” far beyond a sixth graders comprhension. For example, a pacifist would argue that conflict is never warranted.
Perhaps a better use of the students English-Language Arts curriculum time might be diagraming sentences.
