Even Florida cops think Florida criminals are dumb: the Sarasota County Sheriffs Office posted photos of their latest Dumb Criminal on their Facebook page, a man who was robbing a house when he decided to take a nap, because why not, the bed was there.
Dion Davis was eventually found by a maid who called the cops, and was quickly arrested while he rode a train to Dreamland.
He was passed out with a bag full of stolen jewelry next to him on the bed and didnt even notice the deputies taking pictures! the Sheriffs Office posted on Facebook, tagging the photo with #FloriDUH.
Davis faces charges of burglary to an unoccupied dwelling.

Hypothetical question: You walk into your house and see this home invader on your bed, do you quietly call the police and await their arrival or...
get one of your firearms locked and loaded and stand in the bedroom doorway and blow a whistle that wakes up the invader then shoot him when he stands up........ ?

I live in Sarasota and I haven’t heard this story yet. Now I’m curious to find out where exactly this happened. In another story it says the man is from Nokomis which is south of Sarasota.

Did Mr. Goldilocks eat the porridge and sit in their chairs before trying out all of the beds and falling asleep in one?

Note to our friends in law enforcement: Always carry a Sharpie and an evil mind, for just such an occasion.
