I agree with your unsureness. That's why I like his idea of a full debate. This is not just about destroying ISIS, a fact a full debate might bring out. Then it could become possible to show how ISIS and Iran are two sides of the same evil coin, just as Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan were, and deserving of the same treatment we gave those evil entities. As it stands now, there's an uncomfortably substantial likelihood that the Mahdi will back us into becoming Iran's de facto air force and implicitly approving Iran's nuclear program, meaning we'll go from the frying pan into the fire.
