He’s trying to provoke the Republicans into opposing him. He really wants to do nothing. If he can get Republican opposition he’ll do nothing and blame Republicans.

Nobel Peace Prize winners don’t need anyone’s permission to kill.

Nice shift he has going on there.

He went from doing everything he could to avoid dealing with ISIS to saying no one can stop him from dealing with them.

King Barry makes laws, ignores laws, breaks laws, decides what is legal or unlawful every day.

He doesn't need those pesky other branches.

So why not disband the senate, congress and the federal judiciary and save a trillion dollars a year?

If he doesn't need Congress, then what's taken him so long to respond?

He's been rope-a-doped to the point that the longer he fails to respond, or only responds with half measures, he remains entirely responsible for the (failed) outcome as well as wholly responsible for each additional death.

President Obama told congressional leaders in a meeting Tuesday that he has the authority to launch broader attacks against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria

Isnt it this same ‘going it alone’ thing that they liberals castigated Bush for?

If he were to ask for congressional approval, they would have given it to him. But he doesn’t think he should ask for anything.

Once again, a question for Republican candidates for POTUS.

“Do you believe the office of the president is too powerful, and with an agreement between congress and the president, it should have its authority reduced to constitutional levels?”

If they say it is okay as it is, or not powerful enough, they should be shown the door. And if they agree that it is too powerful, they should be asked to name the ways it should be reduced in authority.

And there is a long list of ways this should be done, so hemming and hawing is right out.
