I have seen lots of Soldiers and Airmen wearing their BDUs in public. I don’t think USAF and US Army are even issued class A uniforms anymore.
I have seen young men fresh out of Boot Camp who wore their BDUs proudly. And even recruiters wear their BDUs. So maybe they should walk around wearing their birthday suits and dog tags and combat boots.
Sorry, my computer got a mind of its own while I was typing.
Well, that is a good question, are they issued Class As anymore? I frankly am sick of seeing BDUs in the general population. It is as though we are supposed to get used to seeing them.
Army gets issued Blues at Basic now.

I dont think USAF and US Army are even issued class A uniforms anymore....We (1969 to 1974) were not allowed to fly, use a bus or attend meetings off-base in fatigues but 1505’s were allowed. I lost my dress blues shortly after basic and hoped I would never need them. Bigger than shiite, I was being given an award and was ordered to show up in dress uniform. Quite a chunk out of my paycheck for a bronze star I think every man who went to VN was awarded.
I see NG types here in Nashville wear BDU’s often.
