Have had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Gratia-Hupp and hearing her speak a couple of times...
Declarations like Panera’s mean absolutely nothing to the legally armed...As private enterprises, I believe they have every right to determine their own policies including who they do and do not serve...And if their business falls off as a result, too bad, so sad...
If Victims By Choice wish to congregate in herds (the unintended consequence for them is they lose the umbrella of safety gun owners’ presence would otherwise provide) that is also their choice...And I respect their right to make it...
I choose to go about my business carrying concealed always and everywhere it is legal to do so...And the places where state and local laws declare it is not, I avoid unless impossible (jury duty, for instance)...Otherwise, covert carry means nobody would know anyway...
Places that advertise they are “Gun Free” or “Please Leave Guns...Elsewhere” simply do not get my business dollar...The list is growing...Mostly corporate chains...Pass ‘em by...No problem; there are usually ample choices among the Mom n Pop local establishments where my legally concealed arms are welcome...
Food’s much better anyway...And you’re much more likely to be dining with also-armed citizens...

I have purchased two welding machines from one of my local welding chain stores. I probably have spent over $5K there. I know the guy behind the counter as a friend. After the Colorado theater shooting corporate posted the business forbidding CHL in the store.
The probability of getting into a situation in their 800 sg/ft sales floor in my little town is about as close to zero as you could get.
I look at the big sign in the window as I drive by to see if it is still there on my way to another store.
No quarter.
