Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said Tuesday that legislation to freeze President Obamas executive order deferring the deportations of illegal immigrants who come to the country at a young age should be attached to a stopgap spending measure.
Setting up a possible confrontation over the funding measure that would keep the federal government open beyond September, Cruz declined to rule out opposing the stopgap bill if it allows the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program to continue.
I think we should use any and all means necessary to prevent the president from illegally granting amnesty. Certainly I think it would be appropriate to include in the [continuing resolution] but I think we should use every tool at our disposal, Cruz said.
Cruz, however, declined to say whether he would urge House conservatives to oppose the stopgap funding measure if it did not include language freezing deferred action on illegal child migrants.
I have a habit of waiting to actually see whats in legislation before I make a decision whether I will support or oppose it, he said.
Not exactly, someone voted to cut off debate and move the bill to the floor for a vote, without that traitor would have been harder.
“Amen! That’s the way I’ve been doing it for years. Groups that raise money for the “party” can go pound sand. Same goes for United Way.”
Amen I say to you.......... agreed. An RNC call the other night let me have a little fun. Told them I might have donated, had they not announced “Crush conservatives” and pulled that little ditty down in Mississippi with Thad weekend at Bernie’s Cochran. The guy kept saying thanks for your time mam... I kept saying WAIT A MINUTE - THIS IS IMPORTANT for you to pass this on to your boss... he finally ended the call, but not until I told him 3 times NO moola for RNC when you pull this crap.
BTW....... I ONLY donate directly to candidates.
I am left to assume that CR stands for Congressional Resolution...
Yep, it’s rare.
Agreed, the RNC phone calls can be fun. I have a list of grievances near the phone. When they call I start going through the list. The longer they talk to me, the less chance of them calling someone, probably a LIV, who will donate.
