“According to the Driven by Bacon website, “The fuel is an environmentally safe alternative to conventional diesel fuel. We turned about 275 gallons of bacon grease into 250 gallons of engine-pumping b100 bacon biodiesel.””

So how many pounds of bacon did it take to produce 275 gallons of bacon grease??? What was the cost per pound of bacon???

The cost is likely zero.

The bacon grease is looked at as a waste stream, requiring someone to come remove the waste from your business if you can’t sell it, which many can’t.

As such, you can probably take it for free (a logistics cost to the producer of the fuel).

Looking at waste streams to try and make something valuable from them is always a good thing.
