A new special committee created to investigate the 2012 terrorist attacks in Benghazi, Libya, will hold its first public hearing next week, the panel announced Monday.
The hearing will focus on the implementation of security recommendations made by the State Department's Accountability Review Board that was set up to investigate the surroundings that led to the attacks.
The review board issued almost 30 recommendations in late 2012 after concluding that "systemic” State Department failures led to inadequate security at the diplomatic outpost in Benghazi.
Details of the hearing, including a witness list and on what day it will take place, haven't been announced.

The Benghazi hearings will be especially relevant because of the suspected weapons transfers to the Islamic group that was fighting Assad’s government in Syria,
which became ISIS.

If you are thinking that Obama is pondering over various military strategy to best stop an extremist group of terrorists, then you are projecting what YOU think he should be doing.
The “strategy” that he doesn’t have - is how to best save face when Benghazi weapons transfer revelations become public during this investigation.

I am wondering how apt these hearings will be after 9/11/14. Are Obama and Kerry gearing up for 9/11 at any of our current embassies? It seems a ripe time for an ISIS strike....does anyone think ahead in this administration?
I am hoping there will be no 9/11/14 strikes, but if so, Trey Gowdy and others will have new questions ready about national security.
