b/c business people are evil capitalists who exploit workers.
and so they want to legally reduce their behaviors they don’t like.
There is not a lot of capitalism left. It is mostly oligopolism.
The author tries to misconstrue inflation with wage gains.
In the 4th paragraph he does correctly identify it as an unskilled labor problem. There are infinite wage and skill levels, but for discussion you break it down into 3 groups:
unskilled low wage
semi-skilled medium wage
High skilled high wage.
If you look at immigration policies(legal and illegal) and education policies, they both tend to produce low skilled low wage workers.
OTOH, high skilled high wage workers are much more effective in constricting quotas of the H1B technical and professional workers. High cost of advanced education also constricts the number of those workers.
Business people are strong advocates for higher levels of immigration and they definitely don't want to pay higher taxes to improve education.
There is nothing on the horizon that is going to change this situation.
