I have a lib sister who lives in a Chicago suburb, and where she lives is fairly safe. But she confided in me one time that (1) she's deathly afraid of intruders and (2) she didn't know what she'd do if somebody broke into her house. She lived alone at the time. I told her to get a gun, learn how to use it, and shoot an intruder. She looked at me like that was the craziest thing in the world to do. Some libs you can't reason with.
If someone doesn’t like guns, get 2 chia-pits (Chihuahua-pitbull)mixes. Loyal, very strong for their size, tenacious and very territorial in a protective way. Good with kids. Still small dogs,though, and don’t cost an arm and a leg to feed.
