Sometimes the opposition seems more formidable than it really is. Ask a demolition expert how a large bridge or other structure can be destroyed. A few well placed charges and the bridge will collapse under its’ own weight. Liberals will often take whatever small victories they can, using the incrementalism strategy while conservatives want to go for the big win.
