If ex-Presidents Bush and Clinton really wanted to help out the young folk, they would've spent their millions on hundreds of McDonaldses around the country and hired teenagers at 15 dollars and hour instead of creating yet ANOTHER "non-profit" to rake in millions of dollars and dole out pennies in "scholarships".

“....simply ignore economic reality.”
In the era of Obama, most Americans are ignoring reality in one way or another.

Yes, private ownership doesn’t enter into the equation at all.
Take one restaurant and ask the question: “What are the bills?” and you’ll probably get a glassy-eyed stare. Mortgage, electric, sewage, tax, product, supplies, wages, benefits, advertising, utilities, transportation, communications, etc., all go into that business.
If there’s nothing left over for the owner, then why should he keep his money there?

With the price of capital these days, it isn’t that hard to justify replacing a $15/hr job.

The $15 an hour crowd obviously doesn’t watch Restaurant Impossible and Kitchen Nightmares.

Why can’t conservative groups cut a humorous ad mocking these protests?

I've had it with these bozos! Put me down in the column demanding roboburger stands.
Throw these morons out on their butts. Cut off their welfare. Let them starve, riot, and die. I am tired of supporting cockroaches!

At which point they see the restaurant close for a drive up kiosk run by robots to deliver food like a pull-up vending machine.

Give them the raise. The working poor are among the hardest working people in America. And the work many of them do is vital to keeping our businesses and homes and hospitals functioning. They deserve decent pay.

Give them the raise. It isn't "give these hard-working folks a raise."
It's "Force employers to raise entry-level salaries to a point that will eliminate huge numbers of jobs."

For Compare/Contrast:
In St. Louis County, the Beverly Hills Police Department starts at 12 dollars an hour.
Training requirement: 600 hours of police academy, minimum. Most academies are over a thousand hours of training now.
