Guess what happened to their hard drives...
Late on Friday, when it was hoping no one would be paying attention, the IRS admitted that it had a few new problems on its hands. ...Five new problems, to be precise.
Basically, the agency claims it has "lost" the emails of five more agents and - will wonders never cease - they're all related to the Lois Lerner investigation.
We know you're stunned, just as the AP was:
The IRS says it has lost emails from five more workers who are part of congressional investigations into the treatment of conservative groups that applied for tax exempt status.
The tax agency said in June that it could not locate an untold number of emails to and from Lois Lerner, who headed the IRS division that processes applications for tax-exempt status. The revelation set off a new round of investigations and congressional hearings.
On Friday, the IRS said it has also lost emails from five other employees related to the probe, including two agents who worked in a Cincinnati office processing applications for tax-exempt status.
The agency blamed computer crashes for the lost emails. In a statement, the IRS said it found no evidence that anyone deliberately destroyed evidence.
Computer crashes? Seriously? Again? What are they using over there, surplus Commodore Pets from 1970's classrooms? I could have sworn that, just a couple of weeks ago, the agency admitted it was backing up all of its emails, but the communications in question were 'really, really' hard' to get to?
So, just who are the new people who suffered terrifyingly convenient "hard drive crashes" which eliminated the record of their conversations?
The five employees include a senior aide to Ms. Lerner. Two of the latest 5 IRS employees with “computer crashes” worked in the Cincinnati IRS office processing applications for tax-exempt status. The Cincinnati office, it’s worth remembering, was where those “rogue” employees of the IRS were off supposedly doing their own thing without the say-so of their bosses at the headquarters of the IRS in DC.
Representative Darrel Issa, Chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, wasted no time before blasting Friday's revelation, saying:
“The so-called ‘most transparent administration in history’ has given Congress inconsistent information since the beginning of the targeting scandal. First, the administration denied that targeting was occurring, and then ‘rogue agents’ in a field office were blamed for the misconduct. Today, months into the congressional investigation, we’re still getting conflicting information. This time, it’s on the number of individuals who experienced email losses. First it was only Lois Lerner. Now we learn there are 5 others, several months after the administration supposedly came clean about email losses. … This pattern must stop.”
Good luck with that, Mr. Issa. This pattern won't stop until we either have a new administration, or start prosecuting members of the one we've already got.
It is humanly impossible to root out the corruption that is the Fed Government, since the entire apparatus is now corrupt.
This historical fork in the road will lead to one of two options: spiritual revival or overthrow.
Can’t the IRS ask the NSA for the emails?
Is there any doubt left that this country is being run by the mob?
It shows the arrogance that they would type anything in an email that they don’t want seen.
Issa and his Committee of Corruption are racketeering
with Cummings; even tied directly to the “missing” emails.
No one in DC cares.
They are EXEMPT and protected, working to destroy
the last femtogram of respect the hated Congress had.
I'm starting to suspect that the IRS feels like the government works for them. After all, the IRS is the agency that provides the funds to operate the administration, the congress, and the courts. IRS provides the funds for the military, state and local government, and to many of the citizens of this country, even the president.
Obviously the funds come from the taxpayers, but the IRS is the mechanism that makes it all possible. In their opinion.
Darrell Issa ;
“Sargent-at-arms, please take the commissioner into custody until such time his agency finds the lost records.
“Will the next in command at the IRS, please take his seat.”
Repeat
If your stunned, then your not paying attention. This blatant in your face lying regime doesn’t even try to hide it either. It’s everyday lie, distort, cover up, and because they have been doing it since their first campaign and there has been no challenge to them by the media, opposing party or the public, it just continues.
All I can do is vote on Election Day
