S. Truett Cathy, the billionaire founder of the privately held Chick-fil-A restaurant chain that famously closes on Sundays but also drew unwanted attention on gay marriage in recent years because of his familys conservative views, died early Monday, a company spokesman said. He was 93.
Chick-fil-A spokesman Mark Baldwin told The Associated Press that Cathy died at home surrounded by members of his family. Funeral plans had not yet been finalized, he said.

Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Chick-Fil-A for dinner tonight.
RIP.
We’d go camping in Tyler and we’d always stop by the Chick-Fil-A at the mall there. It was a good many years before the first one was opened in the Dallas area, and now they’ve sprung up all over. If you could find an area without one, they are a license to print money.
You mean these? Didn’t take long...

Libs aren't hard to figure out - they always take the low road.
No, he did not make those statements that turned into CFA Day (an unbelievable success, to the chagrin of Big Media).
Although undoubtedly he would support them.
RIP, Mr. Cathy. You have great values, including GREAT food and GREAT service, unmatched by most “full-service” restaurants.
The problem is, CFA is soooo good, adding condiments beyond the basic they always have is superfluous. Almost apostasy. Take off that lettuce and cheese, please!
per store revenue is many many times higher than KFC and other fast food places too
Sack of Chick-Fil-A for sup tonight.
Prayers up to the Cathy family.
Rest in peace, Mr. Cathy.
If I could figure a way to freeze them, and have ‘em turn out good, I’d ship ya a buttload. Put on yer thinkin’ cap.
He was a Capitalist in the best sense of the word, selling a quality product at a reasonable price while expecting quality service from his employees but paying and treating them fairly in the process. May he rest in peace. Tomorrow, I will go to Chick Fell-A on my lunch break.
You see how the article in the OP tried to twist it into his making any statement at all, though.
They would thaw soggy, and I have an idea, but no equipment to flash freeze. %-{
KFC is excellent chicken, but it is different. It is traditional fried chicken, whereas CFA is a sandwich and best done as that.
The service at CFA is bar-none superb.
Meanwhile, our closest KFC has been a disaster area as far as ever getting an order straight, including “not having chicken” but we’re still open! And not having various types of things available at any given time. 20 years, they have always been bad.
Rest in Peace Mr. Cathy.
