I worked retail. The store manager couldn’t access the LP office. If PD needed video and no store LP officer was around a after hours on-call person at corporate was the only one who had access to release it.
Then his answer should have been, “Yes, officer, I have already contacted the LP and they will be here in X minutes to hand you the video.”
Let’s hope the victims’ families have the brains to collect copies of security video from Cici’s Pizza, whence the feral hoard came. My guess is the Memphis PD will do its best NOT to find anything requiring action on their part.
