Fomer Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney argued Sunday that he'd make a better president than Hillary Clinton -- but that he's not planning to mount a third bid for the White House.
"No question about that in my mind," he said on "Fox News Sunday" when asked by host Chris Wallace whether he'd be a better leader than Clinton.
Prodded by Wallace, Romney insisted he has no plans to run but stopped short of a Shermanesque refusal.
"Im not running, Im not planning on running," he said.
Romney said that while he also would've made a better president than Barack Obama, "My time has come and gone. I had that opportunity. I ran and didnt win."
Romney made waves last month when he told a radio interviewer that while he's not interested in running, "circumstances can change."

Decades of running for office, and Mitt won a single election and failed in that office, and had to give up running for reelection, and left with 34% approval, giving the seat to the democrats after 4 republican governors in a row.
A single win, one failed term, booted from office, how did this guy become an elder presidential type statesman in the GOP?
Wrong. My fear of God was greater than my fear of Obama. I have enough to answer for without giving my blessing to the Republican party "moving ahead" with nationalized health care, on-demand abortion, and forced societal accommodation of homosexuals-as-straight on all fronts, from youth groups to the military. Romney would do ALL those things.
The only thing I hate is the mindset that tries to push that amoral tyranny down free peoples' throats.
Yep. You’re right. You can tell the future. /sarcasm.
Oh please. Romney had no shot. You know why? Because Obama’s people love him and we were told to hold our noses and vote for Romney a guy nobody loved or even liked much. That’s not enough to won. If the GOP keeps handing us stink sandwiches and telling us to eat they will lose in 2016.
Bush got 3 million more votes than Romney did. Various scenarios can be argued that the anti-Mormon base sat out the election, or voted for Obama, but the fact remains that many republicans didn’t vote.
Nobody liked or loved Romney? That’s a telling statement about your small world. Thanks for your comment nonetheless.
His time was in 1968 and he chose to go to France.
