When you convince people their personal misery is not their responsibility, crime typically goes up. When you convince people that those who are apparently above them on the socio-economic scale got there unfairly, again, crime typically goes up.
Which only makes things worse. Because, counter-intuitive as it may be to the average knucklehead, poverty doesn’t cause crime, crime causes poverty. Along with broken families and substance abuse, you have your “perfect storm” generating poverty on all sides.
The sooner the problem-- violent, feral black males, is acknowledged, the sooner we'll find a solution. Which would be capture, punishment, and exile to a penal colony. But I'm not holding my breath.
