I can feel sincere sympathy for the man in that he's lost a child, but frankly, he deserves to be ignored. As a "lifelong, very liberal Democrat", he himself helped cause the very situation that led to his own son's death, and the death of many other Americans.

You’re right, the father did help the cause that contributed to his sons death.

I don’t believe he should be ignored however, people can change and he admitted his very liberal life.

He’s now speaking out to help save others, in my view.
