Maybe you can stop throwing out wild accusations that other freepers here “Serve the Devil” and that Orthodox Christians “are not Christian in any sense of the word” long enough to reflect on your own irresponsible handling of truth.

1) The Stalin Calendar was never an official publication of the Russian Orthodox Church.

2) The creator and distributor of the calendar was an outside enterprise (Dostoinstvo). It was a commercial order accepted by the printing press.

3) When this fact became known to the Moscow Patriarchate, with the support of the hierarchy of the Lavra, the Typography director and entire accounting section were fired.

4) A new director was appointed, this time from the Lavra, Hierodeacon Nikon (Kotov)

So you are putting out a smear at complete odds with the truth in order to smear the entire Russian Orthodox Church.

You make it sound like the whole church supports the publication but the reality is the opposite, they fire everyone involved for making the mistake of accepting the outside order for the printing press as soon as they found out.

Meanwhile you wildly accuse OTHER people of being in league with the devil.

Shame on you.

The Russian Orthodox Church basically is an arm of the Russian government. Just embrace it, instead of making excuses for it.

1) The Stalin Calendar was never an official publication of the Russian Orthodox Church.

It is published by the "orthodox" company St.Holy Trinity-St.Sergius Lavra described by the Moscow Times as "A publishing house run by the Russian Orthodox Church... The calendar, published by the Moscow-based patriarchal printing house of the Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius monastery, presents pictures of Stalin, accompanied by excerpts from his biography. The photographs show Stalin gradually ageing as the months roll on — from a young man on the January page to a gray-haired Soviet leader in December."

http://www.themoscowtimes.com/news/article/fury-over-biographical-stalin-calendar-published-by-orthodox-church/492446.html

The RFEL reports it as a publication of the Russian Orthodox Church in the same way:

2) The creator and distributor of the calendar was an outside enterprise (Dostoinstvo). It was a commercial order accepted by the printing press.

And was advertised by the church as a best seller, hence all the media attention it received.

3) When this fact became known to the Moscow Patriarchate, with the support of the hierarchy of the Lavra, the Typography director and entire accounting section were fired.

Here's another one, this time a "documentary" called "Stalin. Defeat of the 5th Column". Deals with Stalin's "glorious" defeat of the so-called 5th Column in Russia:

Film can be watched here:

From the description:

"As is usually the case with the Russian people, the warrior and protector - in the last moments of his life, help comes. And comprehending took place amid one realizes that only he could make no effort. His only will help you win. Win a death and the enemy.

Extras: Three Stalin's speech."

Maybe they will need to fire more people to solve the problem?
