Hummus is what, chick peas, olive oil and seasonings? What’s too fatty about that? Olive oil is good fat, right?

Chick peas, lima beans, corn etc. are among the more starchy vegetables.

I guess that's what she's thinking.

The tahini (sesame paste) is oily and olive oil is, well, oil (vegetable fat). And chick peas are like any legume very high in caloric content. So yeah, hummus is very fatty and high in calories but so the F what? As long as they’re active kids burn calories like walking furnaces. It’s not the food that’s making them fat it’s the hours spent indoors glued to a computer or iPhone screen. Get them moving and breaking a good sweat daily and the obesity problem (and most of the behavioral issues the psychology profession is handing psychotropic drugs out like candy for) will largely disappear. Leave it to an ignorant, fat ass left wing fascist beyotch to impose something so wrong headed on the young.
