If black women would MARRY a man before having his baby, things wouldn't be so horrible for black men. The government "rewards" black women, all poor women, for each baby they have...out of wedlock, of course. Cut out the rewards and "daddy-less" boys would be a thing of the past.

I agree with you about the toxic effect that father-less homes have had in the Black community. But, I am some old white woman in the suburbs, so I have no voice for advising them. However, it really isn't a secret that children do much better, in every category, when they are raised in a home with their own parents, who are married. But you are not allowed to say this, or anything about marriage being beneficial to all involved.

As for "rewarding" these young women for each out of wedlock child that they have; that is actually a thing of the past. I don't think they are given aid for each additional child, it is up to a certain number. I may be wrong, but I think that changed some time back. Now, you (and I) would think that it would change the behavior, and it has. Black females have far more abortions than their percentage of the population would indicate. So, they just abort the child instead of having the "state" pay for each additional child.

It really is a very sad situation; but, I have no idea how it can be fixed. Political correctness stops any honest discussion of the matter.

In a word the fix is: Jesus.

We are all sinners. As a Catholic I get to go to the Sacrament of Reconciliation. I get to repent and NOT repeat those sins. As we get older (also old white woman here) we get smarter and have more self-discipline.

ALL those young men and women who have sex outside of marriage KNOW it's a sin but they do it anyway. They learn the hard way and make their children pay for it and DOOM them to repeat the sinful behavior.

Staying close to Jesus is the only way I know how to better stay on the straight and narrow. Do YOU know of any other way to do it?
