Ah, Apollo.

North American Aviation.

I think the original NA plant was taken over by Consolidated Vultee in the early 50’s. I think maybe,the Appolo fire took place at Cape Canaveral. Could be wrong.

I still remember in the maybe 3rd grade the planes taking off over our school yard.

Haven’t felt a pride like that in years. May never again.

No it was the other way around.. the Downey plant was Vultee before WW2.. NA took it over in the 50’s...knew someone doing an aviation history museum for Downey
