No matter how much the “moderate” Muslims may want to soften these very harsh measures called for in the Koran, the words are still there, and there is no moderating effect for the 10% to 25% of Muslims who have no inkling whatsoever about the “Golden Rule” as it applies to non-Muslims, or any clue as to what the context of the “Ten Commandments” pertains to.
And every Muslim is a potential powder keg, with no form of reliable warning about when the next thing that comes along is going to ignite his jihadist fuse.
There is no such thing as a ‘moderate muslim’, except in the imaginations of our Western leaders. Take the word of the head of Turkey’s government for that: “The term ‘moderate Islam’ is ugly and offensive. There is no Moderate Islam. Islam is Islam” — PM R. Erdogan.
