The first article I've seen that comes out and lists the huge incentives Musk is after.

Musk probably needs all the ranchers and turtles kicked off the land he wants to use too. Harry Reid will get right on that.

No more government favoritism. All corporations should have a level playing field

Money which the tax man doesn’t collect is not a “cost.” If you get bent out of shape over this, you should see what California does for the film industry.

Once again, “alternative energy” is shown to be simply a way to convert tax money into rewards for Friends of Government.

You get a tax break just by being in state like Nevada which has no state income tax.

Tesla has also disclosed its overhead costs are now rising 20% on a year-over-year basis, and research and development expenses are increasing 30%

Unsustainable, rent seeking... could be the next Solyndra

Less money flowing from industry to the government is a good thing.

More tax breaks for all!

Tax Break = $3 billion

Employees = 6,500

Tax Costs Per Employee = $3,000,000,000/6500 ~= $460,000 per worker

Tax Breaks for 6 years till 2020 so Tax Costs Per Employee Per year = $460,000/6 ~= %76,700

What a rip off. If this goes through bend over tax payers of NV Elon is coming after you.

Here's what bugs me with all this green energy, green transportation, stem cell research, Et al, if it's as profitable as the hucksters claim why do taxpayers have to pony up so much money they will never see a return on?

If the schemes the shysters promote are as profitable as they claim, there should be private investors begging them to take their money.

Tesla’s initial public offering of common stock was at $17 per share. Today Tesla stock closed at $277.30. Someone who bought 100 shares in 2010 for $1,700 can sell that hundred shares today for $27,730 before capital gains.

The Republican Governor of Nevada, Brian Sandoval who negotiated this deal with Elon Musk of Tesla says he expects Nevada will realize $100 billion in revenue.
