As a liberal politician he’s in a tough place. At this stage he’s losing his steady, true-believer base because he’s edging us closer to war. If he doesn’t go to war, he risks an attack on the homeland, which would take him into single digits.
A rock and a hard place for Dear Leader. If he goes to war he alienates his base, however, if he lignires the problem and hopes we don’t get attacked he can say he didn’t go to war. However, if we do, then he can blame Republicans.
Sadly, I bet he will go for the latter.
