Conservatives have powerful influence in the House but not so much yet in the Senate. The Senate will take another couple of election cycles to get power.
The GOP establishment Senators now in leadership are no better than dems.
Conservatives do hold power in the states more so that in both chambers of Congress. But states have yet to find their power buttons. Such buttons do exist for states via the judiciary but states are still learning the ropes of how to use the judiciary to pin the federal government down.
Agree with all but the senate comment. Pubs still better in senate than dems, but not as conservative as the house.
