His former drinking habits in his religion are neither dispositive of his correctness or incorrectness - on politics they do of course show some level of his personal beliefs and actions that being said I’ve always thought the man was a bit of a flake and his present statements do nothing to dissuade me from that position.
Personally I have to wonder about a person who wears magic underwear and believes he’ll inherit his own planet.
