Here is an old post of mine from when I looked into it.
“Texas produced 16,000 active duty in 2004 alone, Canada had 28,000 enlistments from 2003 to 2008.”

Probably a pretty good guess. Considering the population of Texas is just under 30 million and the population of Canada is just over 30 million.

Well Texas doesn't have its own foreign policy commitments...yet.
I can envision a time when it does however.
