I am with you like a Vulcan mind meld on keeping the muslims out of the US. Now all we have to do is force our govt to do it. They never will. Just like they will never shut down the SW border.

Transistorized stuff will still work. Most cars before 1980 will work. Shielded electronics will still work. Bear in mind many military combat vehicles’ electronic systems are EMP shielded.
An astute prepper would put acquire spares of all critical electronic devices such as auto ECM, elec. water pump, backup laptop, shortwave radios, GPS, two-way radio sets, solar batter recharger, etc. and put them in a waterproof container and bury it under 5 feet of earth.
Or, a shielded metal container. Why would you give such bad advice?

Typical metal CME/EMP shielding won’t protect devices from gamma radiation. And CME/EMP shielding -whether a box or for individual devices is more expensive, complex and time consuming than ground shielding. Perhaps a good, heavy gun safe would work but it’s still static storage and about a grand more than ground shielding.
