Putin is taking all he can before he has to face a Republican Congress in 2015 and a new President—a GOP—President on 1-20-2017. Looks like he has his “Greater Russia” (with German Blessings)—now he needs to patch things up with the US and EU. They will have their hands full with IS attacks and a Conservative swing. It almost looks like Putin knows something we do not.

So if President Cruz was in office right now what would he be doing?

....”It almost looks like Putin knows something we do not”....

What has really changed for the average Ukrainian?.... The situation is far worse.... They still have an oligarch as a leader coupled with a full scale civil war among many Oligarch factions interested in controlling the resources of Ukraine.....the recent passages in the senate bill now gives US corporations control of Ukraines’s energy infrastructure...and large corportations to control the agriculture...Oligarch involved.

Putin has the Russian Military Machine.
Rasmussen has Nato’s piece-meal Military machine.
Poroshenko has chocolate....his army is “in pitiful shape” according to the UN.

The US, UK, Saudi Arabia and the global banking interests know that China and other BRICS countries will sooner or later pose a challenge to its financial supremacy.

They believe to continue the the US petro-dollar and the ‘status quo’, it is better to act sooner than later - weaken Russia & China’s access to international oil and build up a large military coalition against both.

Global war is not entirely unimaginable now, and it is our Western leaders who are putting us on that path. ISIS may be the factor which brings all this to a compromise, there must be a united effort, which includes Russia, against this threat.

This is about geopolitical power struggles....amid a world-wide ISIS threat. Who has the military might and know how closest to do the most to stop ISIS??? I can’t see how they can leave Russia out of the equation to overcome ISIS.
