The Republican line is that they will manage it more efficiently, more locally, using private contractors instead of unionized employees...
Instead of government employee union dollars like the Dems the GOP politicians get their donations from government contractors to finance their re-election.
Conservatives are going to undo the system, but not by voting for Democrats. Democrats appreciate your support, but they aren’t going to give you anything for it.
