Many years ago I managed the second largest department in an industrial facility where the management had drifted into a world of their own devising. They were living in “what should be” rather than what was. Imagine the frustration of being told to do something patently ridiculous and costing several million dollars, enraging them by saying it won’t work, and then being beaten into the floor with blame when exactly what you said would happen happened. Psychiatrists (I went to see one) call this crazy-making behavior. A fellow employee described it as; “They build castles in the air and move into them.” These feckless men destroyed a solid $80,000,000/year business and 90% of the employees lost their jobs. The men who did this retired with gold plated parachutes. The business was so solid and so profitable I’d have thought it impossible for even imbeciles to destroy but never underrate insanity. I spoke with every one of them individually and several of the minor directors admitted they knew what the president was doing was crazy, but instead of backing me they just nodded their heads at him like a one of those nodding-head Chihuahuas you see on the package shelf of a 1957 Chevy. The thing is, a great organization can be laid low by just one bad leader. It’s like letting a blind man drive a $100,000 dollar car. The car itself has the necessary momentum, that if badly steered, will tear itself apart. (Imagine what 5,000 nuclear weapons could potentially do.) This is why I voted for first McCain and then Romney rather than sit at home. And, yes, they were both hideous men, but they were both more competent than Obama and, at least, they were Americans.

So true. Prepare to be bashed by the Romney-haters. I still cannot believe the idiotic mindset of those "conservatives" who voted for Obama because Romney was too liberal, or too-something. Well, folks, I hope you're happy now. You got exactly what you voted for - an empty suit with a past so blatantly unverifiable and questionable, it's as if the man never really existed.
