And you wonder why Jews are sometimes thought of as “difficult.” When I was a kid I learned to accept gifts as they are offered.

Some day you will find God doesn’t really give a hoot about the differences.

No one is saying you need to accept Christ. We all respect the Jewish religion.

We simply think you guys are picking nits. That whole episode could have been handled in a much better manner. I understand our point, but your “victim” approach is distasteful to a lot of people.

Did you bother to read the post I was referring to. It is post number one. The one where he says Joan should accept Christ. But thank you for telling me how you feel about Jews. My Daddy used to tell me that people who don’t like Jews always end up revealing themselves. My Dad was the smartest man I’ve ever known.

"In Judaism, "chosenness" is the belief that the Jews are the chosen people, chosen to be in a covenant with God. This idea is first found in the Torah (the first five books of the Tanakh, which are also included in the Christian Bible) and is elaborated on in later books of the Hebrew Bible. Much is written about these topics in rabbinic literature. The three largest Jewish denominations—Orthodox Judaism, Conservative Judaism and Reform Judaism—maintain the belief that the Jews have been chosen by God for a purpose."
