I would love to see that. Unfortunately, I think he may be too smart to put himself, his family, and friends through the er, “stuff” they would take. Though, I have no doubt he would be one of the best ever.

Sowell waxes eloquent on “demographic characteristics,” but does not mention Crime and Punishment, the basic building block of any Society rooted in LAW.
Federal Politicians commit Crime at will, because they know beyond a smidgen of doubt that there will be NO Punishment.
To carry Sowell’s argument to the extreme, would the election to US President of a transvestite, part genetic of each of the 100+ races of the World, quadriplegic, deaf mute finally set aside the mumbo-jumbo academic idea that the USA will not be “Worthy” unless every combination of “demographic characteristic” has finally been elected President?
Instead, why not answer Sowell’s question, ( “but the real question is whether we learn from them.”), this way:
* Has the voting public learned why politicians who have committed crimes against the US Constitution have not yet been punished?
* Has the voting public learned why politicians who have been charged with the responsibility of Impeached a criminal President are being kept in office by other politicians?
* What actions have been taken by Federal Politicians to punish those who violate the Constitution, and those who refuse to punish those who do?
* List three actions, already taken by Federal Politicians, that “will make sure that this never happens again.”
I think many Americans have learned just the opposite lesson. It's not about right and wrong, it's about winners and losers. The object is for your party to win so that you can share in the spoils. Lie, cheat, steal, it's all fine just as long as you win.

Labor Day means one major thing to me...the start of the November election campaign!!! As such Obama must go!!! Only way to do that effectively is for each and every American voter to cast their vote against any, and all Democrat candidates running for office this year!!! Time has come to save our country...before Anti-American, Obama and his Obamabot, Democrat ilk destroy it!!!

I think we’re going to have to run a Conservative woman in 2016 to have a chance at winning. I know about the male Conservative candidates FR keeps pushing, but I don’t think they’ll be able to counter the gender card with the middle, and that’s where the election will be won or lost.
