Bryan and I watched two so-so movies this evening.
“Trust Me” about an insecure radio talk show host who advises the new owners of the station to fire one of his colleagues when he finds out one person must go, and he
and his colleague were candidates for firing. The whole thing backfires horribly when the fired man returns and creates a hostage stand-off situation with the police.
The movie had its LOL funny moments throughout, but it was also silly enough to drag the rating down from 4 to 3 stars.
The second movie was “The Double” I didn’t realize why it was so depressing to watch, as a man’s doppelganger takes over his life and tries to get him removed from
anyone even remembering him. But when Bryan told me it was based on a novel by Dostoyevsky, I realized why it was so very dark and disheartening. Then I started
drawing conclusions about another similar movie that we watched, “Enemy,” with the same basic plot. Enemy (4 stars) was a lot better, so we gave The Double 3 stars.
You’re on a roll too! left you out. :-)
