When a third of your citizens speak Russian and the border with Russia is effectively non-existent - fighting them is an uphill battle.

The reality is Ukraine is fracturing along linguistic lines. Everything east of the Dnieper is already good as gone.

The reality is Ukraine is fracturing along linguistic lines.

Shut up Russkie, it is a bilingual country even as diverse as the United States. The first person to die on the Maidan was from Afghanistan. Jews, and former soldiers of the IDF, were fighting side by side the eeeevil "Nazi" Right Sector groups in the Maidan and some of them are currently fighting against the Russians. Russians themselves participated in the Maidan. The Russian language itself is spoken in Kyiv and throughout Ukraine.

Just because you speak Russian doesn't make you one of those congenital slave Muscovites.

All the evidence, from every poll conducted by both local and international organizations, shows that separatism, even as of April, was supported by a minority of people. Your buddy Strelkov has openly complained about how little enthusiasm and help he is getting from the local, and more than half of the dead have not been natives of Ukraine, but folks sent from Russia.

This is a tired lie that Ukraine is divided by "language" and that everyone who speaks Russian must want to be the slave of the Kremlin.
